While traveling on family holidays Franco Cesari discovered his passion for the “local” wines throughout the places he visited in Italy. This lead to a few of his own ‘projects’ which allowed him to explore many indigenous Italian varietals. It was a trip to the coast that facilitated his discovery of the wonderful wines of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo. As usual, he began sourcing fruit from small, local growers, this time in the province of Chieti, and began making these wines himself shortly thereafter.
