Importer Notes:  The base level Montecucco Rosso provides a balance between the rustic Sangiovese and common blending varieties of the region.  

Grapes:  80% Sangiovese 15% Colorino & Ciliegiolo 5% Cabernet

Farming:  Organic

Vine Age:  10-15 years

Soil:  Pebble, clay & schist.

Winemaking:  Fermentation in stainless steel.  Two week maceration.  6 months aging in French oak.

Production:  400 cases (9l)

Tasting Notes:  Bright red fruits, floral, herbal & savory.  Plush tannins.

Pairings:  Bucatini bolognese.
