Importer Notes:  The Montecucco Sangiovese is the middle ground between the Rosso & Riserva.  More Sangiovese focus with just a hint of blending varieties.  

Grapes:  95% Sangiovese 5% Cilliegiolo & Colorino

Farming:  Organic

Vine Age:  15-20 years

Soil:  Marl & tuff.

Winemaking:  Fermentation in stainless steel, 3 week maceration.  18 months in French oak (10hl & 20hl).

Production:  300 cases (9l)

Tasting Notes:  Black cherry fruit, savory & persistent.

Pairings:  Bistecca.
