Lambrusco di Sorbara

Cantine di Carpi e Sorbara Lambrusco di Sorbara | NV

Importer Notes:  Paying homage to the father of the cooperative system ‘Gino Friedmann’.  A man deeply involved in the efforts of connecting farmers without the means to wine production.   With his diligence he created an outlet for many grower’s grapes.  The collaboration led to the founding of Cantine Carpi in 1903 where they have been crafting typical wines of Emilia-Romagna ever since.

Grapes:  100% Lambrusco di Sorbara

Farming:  Sustainable

Soil:  Sandy

Winemaking: Produced using the charmat method.  Fermentation starts with a typical rose vinification requiring just a brief skin contact and undergoes a secondary fermentation in steel tanks.

Tasting Notes: Appearing with a bright pinkish hue, boasting aromas of fresh strawberry and raspberry accented by orange zest.  Lively and refreshing bubbles with a bone dry finish.

Pairings:  Brunch fare.
