Grapes:  100% Sangiovese Grosso

Farming:  Certified Organic

Vineyard:  3.5 hectares in Castiglione d’Orcia.

Vine Age:  20-25 years

Altitude:  500 MASL

Soil:  Tuffaceous clay.

Winemaking:  Native yeast fermentation with 3 week maceration in stainless steel.  Aged 1 year in French oak (225l).   Minimal filtering and SO2 additions.

Tasting Notes:  Dark berry fruits, lightly earthy.  Structure and depth.

Pairings:  Pizza, pasta, red meats.
